While Canada Bay Council provide a number of off-leash dog areas, the closest is Kendall Reserve - roughly a 15 minute walk from central Breakfast Point.
Ask any dog owner who has visited this area and their response will be that Kendall Reserve is a terrible dust bowl, not fit for purpose for dogs as well as owners.
City of Canada Bay website acknowledges the importance of have local off-leash areas, especially for Sydneysiders who live in apartments or townhouses, with little or no access to grassy areas.
Kendall Reserve is neither close by nor grassy for Breakfast Point residents.
The Companion Animals Act 1998 (NSW govt link here) states "each council must provide at least one off-leash area where dogs can be exercised off-leash during certain hours."
Our Breakfast Point community deserves a better and local off-leash dog exercise area.
